Did the commentator say, “how is this different from what Macsorley did to brashier”? are you kidding me. Just a little different, its hockey and he punched him with his glove on, relax u babies.
Yeah, comparing this to the McSorley/Brashear incident is a bit extreme. Even saying this is on par with what Todd Bertuzzi did to Steve Moore a few years ago would be an exaggeration, as there was a less potential for Crosby to cause serious injury here.
Still, when was the last time you saw ANY player punch a guy square in the nuts from behind like that? I can’t deny that Crosby is a great hockey player, but I wouldn’t have minded seeing him get his ass handed to him for those sucker-punches he threw. I know that traditionally, a guy like Crosby is off limits for that kind of stuff but the second he starts landing punches on a guy who can’t defend himself, it’s open season.
You’re right, there is no comparison with McSorley and Brashear, because Crosby is a baby and the other two are real men, albeit cheap shots. I can’t wait until he plays the Flyers. Crosby represents all that is wrong with the NHL after the new rules were implemented.

I’m sure if that were someone else, we would have been seeing a possible suspension. But since it’s Sidney “The Only Face in Hockey” Crosby, I’m sure the announcers will give him a congratulatory masturbation after the game.

Ok, it’s now the 28th. Any news on Sid getting anything for this? I dont see how they could over look this incidenton behalf of his “star-status” or money-making potential.
