Patrick Roy’s Jersey Retirement
Tweet Posted by Mother Pucker on September 11th, 2008Well it looks like Pat Roy will get his jersey hung up in Montreal on November 22nd, along with other greats Ken Dryden, Larry Robinson, Guy Lafleur, and Jacques Plante. I’m wondering what took the Habs so long in this decision? Colorado retired Roy’s number five years ago, so it makes me think that there may have still been some bad blood between the Canadiens and Roy leftover from his departure? Who knows… but anyway, even though I don’t care much for Roy, I’ll still be tuning in to this one to see if his son Jonathan will be providing personal security?

Oh it would be funny for sure… or sad in Roy’s case if he needed that kind of protection in a city where he won the cup…
