My Take On ESPN’s NHL Player Survey
Posted by Mother Pucker on February 6th, 2009ESPN has once again conducted their NHL player survey, and the results are in. They sent out the questionnaire to all 30 teams, and approximately 21% of the players responded. Yeah, not the best response rate, but still its not that bad considering there was probably nothing in it for the players. Now, here is my take on how the players answers:
WHO IS THE BEST LEADER IN THE NHL? 22% of the vote went for Jarome Iginla, which makes complete sense to me right now. As much as I loathe that team, I can’t deny the fact that Iginla is one of the best leaders in sport right now. Looking forward to him being a prominent figure in the 2010 Olympics.
WHICH GOALIE WOULD MAKE THE BEST FORWARD/D-MAN? 54% of the vote went to Marty Turco. I’d like to think it would be Dwayne Roloson because he is one angry guy back there, and would probably be one of those defenceman that players would hate to play.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE LIVES WITH ANOTHER PLAYER, WHO WOULD IT BE? 16% of the vote went to Ovie. Is there any doubt how much of a blast it would be to be Alexander Ovechkin for a day?
WHICH PLAYER COMPLAINS THE MOST ON THE ICE? 52% (yes, 52%!) of the vote went to Siney Crosby. Any surprise? Not at all… take note Sid, you are annoying to the fans, and obviously to the players, so grow up and shut it. How often do you actually get a ref to change his mind by whining like that? NEVER
Ok thats enough of my input… all I really wanted to answer was that Crosby one, but decided to entertain the first few questions. For the rest of the list, head over to ESPN. How about you? Agree with ESPN or have your own suggestions?
