Glenn Anderson Jersey Retirement
Posted by Mother Pucker on January 18th, 2009This is a two part post, one where I praise the Oilers and Anderson, and one where I complain about the Oilers…
First, I’m happy that Glenn Anderson finally got inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame this year, and will also be having his jersey retired tonight at Rexall place in Edmonton. His #9 will be raised to the rafters tonight to join other Oiler greats that you may have heard of.
It’s great that the Oilers realized that he was a huge part of the 80′s team that produced all that magic, and it’s fitting that the jersey retirement has been picked for a game against Wayne Gretzky’s Phoenix Coyotes (funny how that works out hey?).
And now for the second part of this post, which is a straight out complaint that I will leave to one single line in bold letters:
WHY THE EFFFFF IS THIS GAME ON PAY PER VIEW???

i kinda figured that was a no brainer their MP? however still trying to make sense of the trade..
The ceremony was good, topped off with Andy taking a pass from the moose, ripping down the right side, scoring, and then one legged windmilling and fist pumping his way back across center. Also overheard tonight while watching:
“Wow Anderson’s wife’s dress is tight.”
“You can’t tell me she hasn’t had her boobs done.”
“Now I know why he has such a big nose. It’s so he can breathe while his face is between those!”
