Fats Sundin

Well whooptie freakin’ do! The day that we’ve all been waiting for (or at least CBC, TSN, and SNET) may finally be here as supposedly Fats (Mats) Sundin will be making his season debut tonight in a Canucks uniform against the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place.

Why is supposedly in italics you ask? Well because he still hasn’t made up his mind as to when he is going to lace them up!!!

I have another take on it, one that pegs him as being a little out of shape from his summer and fall filled with drinking at poker tournaments. Did anyone see him at the post practice interview on Sunday or Monday or whenever that was? The guy could hardly breathe, and could hardly speak. No, not hardly speak English, hardly speak at all because he was so out of breath.

This saga is embarrassing to the NHL and hockey as a whole, and we will hopefully never see anything like this again. If we do, Fats and Scotty in Anaheim will be forever to blame.
