2009/2010 NHL Schedule in iCal
The 2009/2010 NHL schedule in iCal format is finally here! Thanks again to Langille who has taking on the task of inputting every game over the entire season! Beauty!
The file is an ics file meant for iCal on a Mac, but don’t fret as you can still use this with Outlook or Google Calender. As Jason pointed out last year, here are the steps you need to take:
Yes, you can import this calendar to both Google Calendar and Outlook (though if you sync with your Windows Mobile phone and have appointment reminders set up like I do, importing to Outlook could end up being a nightmare.)
The way to do this in Google Calendar is different than it used to be, and thus most of the how-tos you’ll find in a search no longer apply. Go to Settings->Calendars and click ‘Add Calendar’. Next to the Public Calendar Search field at the top, click ‘Add by URL’ and then supply the url of the .ics posted in this article (http://www.motherpucker.ca/NHL_2009_-_2010_Schedule.ics). This will create a new calendar entry under ‘Other Calendars’ in the lefthand-side navigation bar of your calendar view.
In Outlook, adding this calendar is as simple as saving the file locally, and then going to File->Import and Export and following the directions from there.
So yeah, grab the 2009/2010 NHL Schedule here:

Is there any way to get this converted over to a .dba or .vcs??? I reallly, really, want this for my palm centro!! thanks!!
Hmm I’m not too sure. Can anyone help with that one?
Is there any way to customize this for just one team’s schedule? Other than going through each individual date and deleting all the other teams?
Robin, yeah that’s pretty easy.
If you’re in iCal, just do a search for your team, select and copy all the results in the bottom result window.
Find out what day your team’s first game is, click on that day, and paste!
Make sure you paste onto your teams first game day though, if not you’ll be out for the whole season.
Is there an iCal download for just my home team?
Frank,
just follow the instructions in my above comment and you can get just your teams games!
Enjoy!
