Top 10 Hockey Agitators of All Time

Posted by Mother Pucker on July 30th, 2010

Curious as to who are the top 10 hockey agitators of all time? TSN put together a video, and DayWalk3r was kind enough to put them up on youtube for us.You know, even before watching this video, that Sean Avery and Steve Ott are going to be in there, but who else? Anyone want to make any guesses before they watch this? Throw them in the comments, then watch and brag about how right you are!Alternatively, you can just watch it first, and then beef about this guy or that guy not being there, or some guy that you didn't think was that bad being included if you're unhappy.Let's hear it!

Your Disgusting NHL Arena Vendors

Posted by Mother Pucker on July 26th, 2010

Randy from The Trailer Park Boys just called me with a complaint about the food being served up in NHL arenas. Apparently, The Dirty Burger, run out of Philadelphia Collin's old motor home, is far cleaner than the dumps that serve food in our NHL arenas. Apparently Randy and Phil were hired to travel around to all the NHL arenas last season, to sample the food, and rate them all on cleanliness/disgustingness, and these are the results:Worst NHL arena in Canada for food safety: Rexall Place, Edmonton, AB, with 25% of vendors being in critical violation. Notes: vendors handling dirty dishes and

2011 NHL All-Star Game Logo Revealed

Posted by Mother Pucker on July 26th, 2010

The Carolina Hurricanes have unveiled their logo for the 2011 All-Star Game, and I like it. It's not a bunch of shooting stars, or any other lame stuff, but instead it's a clean crisp logo that looks great. Yeah, it kinda has the toilet bowl swirl, similar to the Hurricanes logo, but I still likey. What do you think?

NHL Network’s Raising the Cup

Posted by Mother Pucker on July 24th, 2010

Every weekday in July and August, the NHL network will be showing every Stanley Cup clinching game from the past 20 years, and the action gets under way this Monday with the Oilers in Boston. There is a poll on the network's site asking which series clinching game was the best of the 90's, and so far the Rangers over the Canucks is taking the lead. Here are the highlights from the first game, Oilers at Bruins, being shown from the 1990 Stanley Cup Final:

Mother Pucker Hockey’s New Look

Posted by Mother Pucker on July 23rd, 2010

Mother Pucker finally got a face lift! No, not one to fix that hideous broken nose, but one to the layout of the website. Gone are all the useless images and colors that were getting in the way, and coming in is a clean layout that emphasizes the content. Um, content? I guess I'll have to start writing at a higher level now? Or maybe there will be some help? Yeah, stay tuned over the off season for more additions to the site that I'm sure you'll hate even more than Pierre Mcguire.

Kovalchuk Contract Nixed by the NHL Thumbnail

Kovalchuk Contract Nixed by the NHL

Posted by Mother Pucker on July 21st, 2010

So I wake up this morning, and start asking people about their reactions to the ridiculous Kovalchuk contract, and quickly get knives thrown back at me for not knowing that the league nixed it! My first reaction, and still current one, is that the league has finally done something right! Front loading those contracts in order to significantly reduce the cap hit is plain fraud. For more details check out Puck Daddy and Mike Chen's reactions. No this isn't me being lazy, this is me passing on some quick info before rushing out to to golf course... you know, thats what we hockey people do in the s

Great Players vs. Champions

Posted by Mother Pucker on July 19th, 2010

Now that the biggest free agent of the summer has been signed, why not take a look at the difference between a great player and a champion? For this example we will look at Ilya Kovalchuk, Alexander Ovechkin, Sydney Crosby, and Patrick Kane.So why are Kovalchuk and Ovechkin great players? They put up the points, they lead their teams in scoring, and are all around all-stars. Why are Crosby and Kane champions? Because they've both won it all at the NHL level, and Crosby also at the international level. So lets look at salaries now. Crosby, Ovechkin, and Kovalchuk all make an absolute shitload, w

Old Spice Man and the Stanley Cup

Posted by Mother Pucker on July 15th, 2010

Well unforutnately it looks like I'm not going to get my own personalized response from Old Spice Man... you know, I didn't win the Stanley Cup this spring, so I guess I can let the Chicago Blackhawks get some more attention, while I wither away into obscurity. Seriously tho, check this shit out. Spirit of a mountain ram, and the tail rotor of an apache helicopter? All around great guy person who is strong? HAHA What a beauty!

Hey Old Spice Man!

Is this kind of gay? Whatever, I don't give a shit because I want to get a personalized message from the Old Spice Man!I just heard that the Old Spice Man is creating personal videos for random people online, and I shot him the following tweet:Hey @OldSpice have you ever played hockey? any good? would you fight a giraffe? can you grow your own food? and how kick ass are you?I don't know how he (they?) chose who gets a video made for them, but my fingers are crossed that I get to be one of the lucky ones.
